Celebrating Success: Graduation Ceremony for Our Master Students! 🎉
This year’s Graduation Ceremony hosted by the Elite Network of Bavaria and our internal ceremony at Faculty of Sciences (Departments Biology and Pharmacy) of the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg were truly unforgettable experiences. Both events offered wonderful occasions to celebrate the hard work, determination, and achievements of our master students.
On December 13th, the Elite Network of Bavaria hosted a thoughtfully organized event at the Marinaforum in Regensburg. To ensure a seamless experience, students were shuttled to the venue, which provided a warm and celebratory ambiance. Interactive activities like a photo station with a professional photographer and inspiring guest speakers engaging directly with students made the event even more meaningful. Guests enjoyed delicious food and lively music throughout the evening, creating cherished memories.
Our internal Graduation Ceremony took place on February 8th at the south campus in Erlangen. The celebration was accompanied by beautiful music, setting the perfect tone for the event. Prof. Dr. Yves MĂĽller, spokesperson of the Department of Biology, delivered a warm welcome to all graduates, their families and the faculty.
The graduate were personally presented with their master’s degree. Prof. Lars Nitschke (Dean of Study) announced each thesis project while handing over certificates — a heartfelt moment for all. As a meaningful keepsake, graduates received custom cups adorned with immunology-related images, symbolizing their academic journey.
A highlight of the ceremony was the anouncement and hand-over of the Master Prize to Mr. Jonas Prokscha from the Immunology course for his outstanding performance throughout the program. Dr. Cláudia Vilhena from the Department of Biology captivated the audience with a compelling talk titled “Antibiotic Resistance – A Societal Challenge.”
The celebration continued with a group photo featuring all graduates, Prof. Lars Nitschke, Prof. Falk Nimmerjahn (Speaker of the iImmune Program) and coordinator Dr. Anja Glanz. The day concluded joyfully with music, champagne, and juice shared among friends, family, and faculty.
🎓👏 Congratulations to all the graduates—your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!
